Macnair’s Lum Reek 10 Year Old is a blend of the finest Speyside and Islay single malts, including aged GlenAllachie. The spirit then underwent further maturation in premium Spanish sherry casks, wine barriques and virgin oak casks at The GlenAllachie Distillery. During this last stage, the flavours from each whisky marry and extract additional characteristics from the wood. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.8% abv., and free from chill filtration.
On the nose, waves of honeycomb, ginger and vanilla are complemented by cinnamon and campfire smoke. The palate brings forth flavours of dark chocolate, orange peel, butterscotch, smoked spices and espresso. Notes of ginger are revealed into the finish.
